Hash Droid: A Free Utility to Calculate Hash Functions in Android
Hash Droid is a free utility application developed by Hobby One for Android devices that allows users to calculate a hash from a given text or file stored on the device. The application supports a wide range of hash functions, including Adler-32, CRC-32, Haval-128, MD2, MD4, MD5, RIPEMD-128, RIPEMD-160, SHA-1, SHA-256, SHA-384, SHA-512, Tiger, and Whirlpool. The calculated hash can be easily copied to the clipboard and reused elsewhere.
The application has three main features: the first tab enables users to calculate the hash of a given string, the second tab helps users compute the hash of a file located on the internal or external memory of the device, and the last feature allows users to compare the calculated hash with another given hash or any hashes by pasting them. Hash Droid is useful for checking the integrity of files and is often used to check an Android ROM before flashing it. The application is published under the GPLv3 (GNU General Public License version 3) and the source code is available on GitHub for anyone who wants to contribute or make suggestions.
